Is your dream team the strongest? With the help of bards, snatch the flag from the Kraken! Repel attackers with necromancers and rubber duckies! From cosmic aliens to deep-sea monsters, your outrageous companions have but one goal: Victory in the world's largest flag battle tournament! In "Challengers!", players participate in a flag battle tournament. The tournament consists of 7 preliminary rounds, followed by a final match between the top two players with the most fans to determine the winner. Each round is divided into a deck phase and a match phase. In the deck phase, players move to the venue (playmat) according to the tournament schedule, where they acquire new cards or remove unnecessary cards to strengthen their deck. Once the deck is complete, the match phase begins, and players finally battle against one opponent. In a match, the card with the highest number on the field holds the flag, and the opponent reveals cards from their deck until they surpass that number. When a card with a higher number appears than the current flag-holding card, control switches, and the previous flag-holder moves to the bench. Many cards have abilities that activate when they enter the field or when they move to the bench, and various elements such as synergy between categories add excitement to the battle. A match ends when one player can no longer surpass the number of the flag holder or their bench becomes full, and the winner gains fans. This preliminary stage is played 7 times, and the top two players with the most fans advance to the final to determine supremacy. Although the actual battle involves simply flipping cards, the joy of creating combos with various cards by strengthening your deck while considering card abilities, and the thrilling anticipation of flipping cards from your deck, makes this a addictive card game for 1 to 8 players.
