Mt. Moiwa is located almost in the center of Sapporo City. It is a famous tourist spot that locals in Sapporo can enjoy throughout the four seasons.
From the summit at an altitude of 531 meters, a magnificent view of the vast Ishikari Plain spreads out, and its grandeur is among the best in Japan.
You can reach the summit by taking a ropeway and a mini cable car, and enjoy different scenery each season.
At the ropeway's mid-station, there is Moiwa Shrine, and at the summit, there is a summit restaurant. To the southeast is the Sapporo Moiwayama Ski Resort.
