I wanted to create something I love with people who truly love it.
This figure was born from that desire.
The fish species and scenes, chosen after repeated discussions with SHIMANO, are, I believe, scenes that every angler has experienced or imagined.
I sculpted this with the sole desire to keep that fantasy close at hand. In addition to my own image of fishing, the dedication of the SHIMANO staff helped make the figure even more convincing.
I hope this figure inspires you to reflect on your fishing spots. Envisioning your next fishing trip, chuckling to yourself as you imagine the target fish attacking the lure... This is a "Strike Fantasy Figure" that brings such an angler's fantasy to life.・Vibrant eyes, shimmering water, iridescent scales that look as if they're about to spill, expressing the encounter between an angler who seized a rare opportunity that comes only a few times a year, and a cherry salmon.
Here, the fleeting moment before release, when the trout and the angler communicate, is etched.
