Sculptor: Eiji KohirumakiThe original model was a massive resin cast kit released in 1986. This "Jashinhei," a foundational piece of Kaiyodo's sculpting, was met with shock in the hobby scene at the time due to its innovative techniques and sense of design, including a body sculpted using various materials and bellows sections incorporating perspective.
Now, 38 years later, this work is revived as a plastic kit for Kaiyodo's 60th anniversary.
The colossal original model was 3D scanned and then resized. All parts have been refined while preserving the texture of the materials originally sculpted from clay, springs, and aluminum foil.
The kit's molded color is bronze, giving it a profound finish even when assembled without painting. ■Kit Contents
