Unconscious Mind is a Eurogame-style game that incorporates worker placement, engine building, and rondel elements. Players take on the roles of Freud's followers in the early 1900s, striving to develop "psychoanalysis" and become famous.

During the game, players place Idea tokens to chain various actions. If you can skillfully create your notebook, you will trigger chains more efficiently and advance the game to your advantage. Additionally, examining and treating patients is crucial. As your insight deepens, you'll be able to diagnose patients using "manifest dreams" and "latent dreams" from the subconscious, allowing you to treat more patients. Treating many patients will also grant you their assistance.
Besides examining patients, don't forget to conduct research and publish papers. When the fame of Freud's school is established, how much can you make your own name resonate?

The illustrations are by Andrew Bosley (known for Everdell) and Vincent Dutrait (known for The Quest for El Dorado). It's a game where you can enjoy admiring the artwork, including the impressive inkpots and intricate pieces.
