The 7th generation Crown (S120 series) gave birth to the famous phrase "Someday a Crown."
In addition to luxurious features, it also evolved in terms of performance, with the introduction of a DOHC engine and the world's only full-frame 4-wheel independent suspension at the time, leading the high-society car boom.
Particularly memorable was the "Crystal Pillar," an acrylic-covered C-pillar, which created a luxurious and elegant impression.
After its introduction in 1983, a 3000cc model, which was the top of the line, was added the following year, and a minor change was made in '85.
