Based on "Mikaeri Bijin Miku," created as part of the "Dancing Haniwa & Mikaeri Bijin Repair Project"*1 carried out by the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage, Tokyo National Museum, and the Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties, a collaboration between Japanese dolls and figures has been realized through Japan's leading doll manufacturer, "Kyugetsu"*2, and figure manufacturer Good Smile Company!
The kimono parts use actual woven fabric and embroidery, achieving a texture different from that of figures. Kyugetsu's doll artisans handcraft each piece. The head and hands are reproduced with figure sculpting to express the delicate touch drawn by Rella. Please enjoy this dream collaboration between traditional crafts and modern culture, which has enabled an unprecedented expression!
