Insert the shapes cut from the cross-section cards into the cube case. It can be difficult to visualize the cross-section of a cube or the resulting solid shape in your head, but by simply inserting the cards, you can clearly confirm the cross-section and the resulting solid shape. There are 13 types of cross-section shapes in total, covering almost all necessary cross-sections. Practice imagining the cuts while solving problems in the drill book.

〈How to use the drill book〉
・Start with "Problems using supplementary materials (14 questions in total)". Solve the problems by inserting the 13 cross-section shapes from the cross-section cards into the cube case. This will solidify your understanding of how to imagine cuts.
・"Basic Problems (11 questions in total)" are designed to check the fundamental academic skills needed to solve cube cutting problems. Students will calculate areas, volumes, and surface areas of various shapes.
・"Practice Problems (11 questions in total)" are practice problems designed to simulate entrance exams.
・"Practical Problems (8 questions in total)" include past entrance exam questions.

Solid geometry problems are almost always featured in junior high school entrance exams every year. It's often difficult to imagine a solid figure drawn on a flat piece of paper and perceive it spatially in your head, as it requires strong spatial reasoning. However, once you experience it using your eyes, hands, and mind, it becomes much easier to visualize. This book helps make it easier to imagine by using actual supplementary materials.
