The environment continues to deteriorate, and monsters face extinction. The shadow of ill omen finally reappears in both nations as a sign of war. Two nations, twin Rathalos.
What truth will the Rider, bound by a bond with Rathalos, grasp in the torrent of fate...?

■Game System
・Evolved Field Actions!
In this game, you can experience rides that are designed to be athletically enjoyable in the field, with a focus on the riding comfort of monsters. You can change Otomon without switching screens, making ride actions such as "wall climbing" and "flying," which are necessary for field exploration, more comfortable. Applying "breath" or "melee attack" ride actions to field monsters allows you to start battles in an advantageous state.

・More Options for Winning Battles
The turn-based command battle system, centered on the "power," "speed," and "technique" rock-paper-scissors mechanic, has evolved further. While retaining the popular "satisfaction of winning rock-paper-scissors" from the previous game, there are now more options for winning, allowing for more strategic play.

・Three Attack Types
Attacks have three types: "Power," "Speed," and "Technique," each having a rock-paper-scissors relationship.
Power: Beats Technique
Speed: Beats Power
Technique: Beats Speed

・Head-to-Head and Double Action
When both you and the opposing monster target the same spot, a "Head-to-Head" occurs. If you can attack with an advantageous type in a Head-to-Head, you'll deal significant damage to the opponent and greatly increase your Kinship Gauge. Furthermore, if you target the same opponent as your Otomon and win a Head-to-Head, a "Double Action" will occur, dealing damage and increasing your Kinship Gauge, in addition to preventing the opponent's attack.

・Part Breaking
Monster parts have durability values, and reducing a part's durability to zero allows you to "break" that part. Successfully breaking a part provides various bonuses, such as dropping materials or disabling specific actions.

・Dragonforce Gauge
The "Dragonforce Gauge" represents a monster's spirit. Reducing it to zero allows you to "Break" the monster. A broken monster loses "Dragonforce Stock" and enters a "Fatigued" state, making its attacks easier to evade. Furthermore, depleting the Dragonforce Stock completely allows you to "Down" the monster.

・Synchronized Rush
By Downing a monster, you can activate a "Synchronized Rush." Activating it deals significant damage to the opponent and greatly increases your Kinship Gauge, creating an opportunity to unleash powerful moves like Kinship Skills.

Elaine's Outfit "Azure Scale Princess"
You can change the appearance of your Ranger companion Elaine to the special outfit "Azure Scale Princess." Dress her in an outfit inspired by the Azure Scale Rathalos and embark on a journey together!
