Silver has been discovered in a certain hilly region of Central Bohemia. Miners flocked there, transforming a quiet Czech valley into a burgeoning 14th-century city. Players take on the role of the head of a wealthy family with influence in various guilds, using their riches to expand mines and build the town of Kutná Hora. As the city grows based on the players' choices, so too does its economy. To win, you must adapt to price fluctuations and keep your eyes open for opportunities. In "Kutná Hora: The Silver City," players play one card with two actions each turn, choosing which action to perform to develop mines, secure city districts, or acquire building rights. The production capacity increases with the buildings and mines constructed, leading to more products but lower prices, while an increase in population raises prices. Players must contribute to the development of Kutná Hora while the economic situation changes throughout the game. Sometimes, if players do not work together, the town's development will stagnate. "Kutná Hora: The Silver City" is an economic development and city-building board game by the Czech company CGE, based on the history of their country's historical silver mining city.
