Unicycle and yoga mat, what category do they share?
Is a microwave more important than a diaper to humanity? How different are the movements of a rocking chair and a windshield wiper? Do a pizza cutter and a unicycle look similar in some ways? Discuss as a team and find out which category connects two items. But be warned: one of the categories has a trap! Use clever hints to avoid the trap and aim to be the winner of "The Same Game"!
In "The Same Game," all players work together as one team. In the game, you compare the relationship between two "things" across various categories (weight, material, usage time, price, etc.).
First, in Phase 1, each player takes their drawn "thing" card and links it to one category card and a "trap." Then, on their writing board, they compare the "thing" card with the trap category and write down one thing they have in common, to make it difficult for others to guess the "trap." In Phase 2, the current player covers the number tiles next to each category card with cups. Only the cup next to the trap category is placed with the number tile showing the trap side.
The current player reveals their "thing" card and their written board. Other players discuss and try to open as many categories as possible without hitting the "trap." Points are scored for opening cups that are not traps. If the score reaches the medal area on the score track by the end of the game, you become the winner of "The Same Game."
"The Same Game" is a cooperative party game of communication where players compare "things" across various categories, find commonalities, and can't help but comment on the differences in each player's thinking.
