The cosmic faculty of the Institute of Creative Technologies warmly welcomes you to take the most important examination in the field of civilization design: "Civolution."
Show that you can master the civilization console, and prove your ability to adapt to various environmental parameters and chaotic states of creation.

As student-entities taking the civilization design examination "Civolution," players become one of the local deities in a simulated world, aiming to lead their civilization and develop it more than others.

The game is played over four eras, and in each era, players activate modules as actions in turn order.
Modules include 15 types of main modules related to actions such as tribal migration and reproduction, resource production and transportation, food procurement, construction, and invention, as well as special modules that represent and can enhance tribal characteristics such as intelligence and eyesight.
To activate modules, players must pay dice of corresponding values, so they must carefully consider the dice values they have on hand, their current resources, and the opponent's situation to decide which modules to activate and in what order.
When the number of usable dice drops to 3 or less, players can perform a reset, returning used dice to an usable state. However, when the predetermined number of resets for all players is reached, that era comes to an end.

At the end of each era, players can score points from categories such as tribes and statues on the game board, and fame and knowledge, and population chosen at the start of the game. At the end of the game, points can be scored from all categories.
Since the value of categories changes with each game, planning from early on is essential.
Throughout the game, various other scoring methods exist, such as events and acquired cards.

The game proceeds in this way until Era 4 ends, and after the final score calculation, the player with the most points is the winner.

"Civolution" is a highly acclaimed heavy strategic board game designed by Stefan Feld, which combines various elements such as expanding one's influence, enhancing abilities, and acquiring resources, in a simple yet moderately restrictive way by activating them with dice rolls.
Despite having numerous options, the elements that appear in each game are limited, making you want to challenge the countless strategies to explore again and again.
