Fungi is a two-player card game where players venture into the satoyama (traditional Japanese landscape) to gather cards like mushrooms and frying pans, with the goal of cooking delicious mushroom dishes.

There are 10 types of mushrooms appearing in the "forest," including hen-of-the-woods, chanterelles, maitake, and shiitake. Players take cards from the "forest," which consists of 8 cards revealed from the deck, aiming for a high score. If you have three or more of the same mushroom and one frying pan, you can cook them for points. If you don't need them, you can sell two or more to get rid of them. The sold mushrooms become "sticks," which can be used to acquire cards deeper in the "forest."

Should you gather nearby mushrooms without pushing yourself, or sell unwanted mushrooms to get sticks to collect mushrooms deeper in the forest...? The forest changes moment by moment, so it requires careful thought. Furthermore, try to get ahead of your opponent by skillfully acquiring valuable mushrooms, or cooking ingredients like "cooking wine" and "butter" that enhance the flavor of mushroom dishes, to aim for a high score.

This easy-to-play competitive card game, with its bright and fun flavor and beautiful mushroom illustrations, is finally available in a Japanese edition!
