In this game, set in the Aizu Domain during the Bakumatsu period, you will find love with members of the "age-based units" that actually existed: two members each from the "Byakkotai" (White Tiger Corps) who are younger than the protagonist, the "Suzakutai" (Vermilion Bird Corps) who are the same age, and the "Seiryutai" (Azure Dragon Corps) who are older.

The year is Genji 1, a turbulent era when the Edo Shogunate was in decline. The protagonist, born into a samurai family in the Aizu Domain, lost her brother in battle and became an orphan at the age of sixteen. Then, in her dream, a god calling himself Byakko appeared—Byakko told her that Aizu would eventually be defeated and gave her a mission: "Use this gun to prevent the 'tragedy of boys' that will someday occur. If you succeed, I will grant any wish." When she woke up, her brother's sword had transformed into a gun—Three years passed, and the protagonist, having become a master of artillery, was guided to meet comrades with whom she would share her destiny.
